Switched-On Bach, Wendy Carlos's electronic interpretation of works originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, was released in October 1968. Up until that point, synthesizers had been used almost exclusively in under-the-radar experimental music. The album's 13 tracks were composed entirely on Carlos's custom Moog modular system.
